A Brief History of Reality Porn:It is difficult to pinpoint exactly when Reality Porn emerged on the Internet other than sometime around 1999. Luckily it is much easier to determine the origins of reality porn. In the Adult Video industry there is a genre called "Gonzo". Gonzo simply means the cameraman and all the performers are aware they are being filmed, and there is no script. You can often hear the cameraman or director, commenting as the camera is rolling. When talked about on the Internet instead of in the Adult Video world Gonzo porn is often referred to as Point of View Porn or simply P.O.V. porn. Reality Porn grew out of gonzo genre. Unlike gonzo, Reality porn didn't emerge in the Adult Video industry, but rather it emerged on the Internet. The main distinction between Reality Porn and Gonzo is that reality porn is simply the recording of real life sex events or public nudity as it happens. Often the people being recorded do not know they are being recorded, or they believe they are making a private video not a public video. Nowadays the typical Internet Reality Porn site has a common theme that runs through all of that site's episodes. Most but not all of the time these themes involves the exchange of sexual favors for something else of value such as money, rent, a modeling contract, a green card, home repairs and almost anything else you can think of.
